victimology: The study of victimization, including the relationships between victims and offenders and the interactions between victims and the criminal justice system.

warrant: A legal term for a specific type of authorization; Also a writ issued by a competent officer, usually a judge or a magistrate, which commands an otherwise illegal act that would violate individual rights and affords the person executing the writ protection from damages if the act is performed.
